Posted on February 22, 2013 by

Recently, our paralegal Carol Hassett appeared as a guest speaker for the Family Law class at the University of Richmond. This is a core class in the Paralegal Studies program through the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. As an alumna of University of Richmond, Carol appreciates the opportunity to provide insight to those wanting to be a paralegal so they can hear first-hand what it is like to work in the legal field. Carol’s long career as a paralegal in the family law area and experience working for large and small law firms provides fodder for lively stories and discussions. Per Carol: “I would like to say I captivate them every time I speak to a class, but let’s be realistic these are usually people working, taking care of their family and going to school at night. I have been there and done that. If I can impart one nugget of information that stays with them, I am okay with that.”
